With over a decade of practice, Dr. Hemli has served as the Surgical Director of Research and an Associate Professor at Lenox Hill Hospital and Hofstra/Northwell. He is widely published in peer-reviewed journals, has authored several textbook chapters, and regularly presents at national and international scientific meetings.
Dr. Hemli is also an active member of the American Vein & Lymphatic Society, ensuring he stays at the forefront of advancements in his field. Patients can trust Dr. Hemli to provide expert, compassionate care tailored to their needs.
Training & recognition
Dr. Hemli obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Sydney, Australia’s oldest university; he was the Valedictorian of his class. During his residency, Dr. Hemli earned a Master’s Degree in Biopharmaceuticals at the University of New South Wales. Dr. Hemli completed his training in Cardiothoracic Surgery, undertaking Advanced Fellowships at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
As a practicing Cardiac Surgeon for over a decade, Dr. Hemli served as the Surgical Director of Research for the Department of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and held an academic appointment as Associate Professor of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
