Information for patients
Do you have swelling or pain in one leg or both? Are you or your provider concerned about a blood clot?
We offer a better solution: a dedicated clinic for DVT and circulatory disorder screening. We offer same-day quick appointments. Our experienced providers will examine you, perform a thorough ultrasound, and give you your results the same day.
Deep Vein Thrombosis
Information for providers
Sending a patient to an urgent care or an ER for unilateral swelling is frustrating. But many providers are understandably reluctant to risk sending a patient home, especially if risk factors are present.
Our clinic is open 9am-7pm, M-F. We accept most insurance, and in the event your patient is not covered we offer a reasonable cash price for a scan, typically far lower than the cost sharing associated with an ER visit. Wait times are minimal, one hour at the most. If you reach out, or send the patient with instructions on how to contact you, we will reliably email, fax, or call to get you the patient’s results same-day.
Our process is simple, we examine your patients and take a thorough history to understand risk factors. We double-check vital signs and our certified vascular technicians perform a thorough ultrasound, including minor calf veins. If we diagnose a DVT, we triage it appropriately and if treatment is required we will give the first dose of medication the same day to ensure the best outcome possible. We will also provide appropriate measures to prevent post thrombotic syndrome, including providing medical grade compression stockings at the time of the appointment.

What is a DVT and how do I know if I have one?
A DVT, or deep venous thrombosis, is the medical term for a blood clot in the leg.
DVTs can be minimally symptomatic with slight swelling or leg fatigue, or they can cause the entire leg to be extremely swollen and red. If left untreated, DVTs can lead to pulmonary embolism, or blood clots in the lungs, which can be extremely dangerous.
If you have leg swelling, particularly if it is associated with cough, shortness of breath or chest discomfort, seek care immediately.

Does insurance cover the scan?
Our clinic works with most insurance providers
In the event that your insurance does not cover our clinic, we offer DVT screening for a reasonable price, and we take credit card and care credit. The majority of the time, our pricing is less than the amount you would pay in co-pays and coinsurance if you sought care in an urgent care or an emergency room. We can verify your insurance coverage (check to see if you are covered) in under an hour in advance of your visit.
