Who Is Dr. George Hanna?

Dr. George Hanna is a Harvard-trained physician, double board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine, and a recognized medical leader within VIP Medical Group.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, completed his anesthesiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and later served as a Clinical Instructor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School.

During his time at Harvard, Dr. Hanna served as Director of Pain Innovations and Technology and Medical Director of Pain Management at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. He later became Chairman of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at Chilton Medical Center, Atlantic Health System in New Jersey.

Today, as President and Director of Pain Management at VIP Medical Group, Dr. Hanna plays a key role in developing and leading clinical excellence across outpatient programs that prioritize patient safety, comfort, and lasting results.

Dr. Hanna’s Contribution to Becker’s ASC Review

In his interview, Dr. Hanna discussed how rising medical device costs encourage Ambulatory Surgery Centers to innovate without compromising care quality or patient access.

2. Photo ID.
3. Complete medical history. List of all prescriptions and over-the counter medication that you are taking.
4. List of allergies, including food and medical.
