Dr. Alford completed her general surgery residency at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. Following that, Dr. Alford completed fellowship training in vascular surgery at McGill University and a mini-fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Alford completed her general surgery residency at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. Following that, Dr. Alford completed fellowship training in vascular surgery at McGill University and a mini-fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital. After the fellowships, she has treated many patients as a vascular surgeon using radiofrequency ablation and ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy at Aesthetic Laser and Vein Center. She also worked as a Wound Care Physician at the Center for Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at United Medical Center in Washington, DC and at Georgetown University Hospital.
